Just what you've been waiting for -- or at least one of you has asked for -- some more pictures of Dick and Witta.  These were taken New Year's Eve.

Then there are these two silly photos of me.  Dick is less willing to play the fool, but of course we all know the truth!  These sculptures (sans the fool) are part of a permanent exhibit near the Christchurch Art Center. The Art Center is an old Gothic-like structure that is the former home of Canterbury University.  Today it houses a large number of independent artists' studios and gift shops.   It also contains a small exhibit and laboratory showing the accomplishments of New Zealand's most famous scientist, Ernest Rutherford.  Apparently he started his research in these very halls, before heading to England and then Canada.

And to round out this page, here's a photo of "The Wizard", a famous Chch personality.  He's been providing his soap box style rhetoric to anyone who'll listen for the last 20 years and has become a tourist attraction.  Initially the town fathers wanted to ban him and his outspoken style from Cathedral Square, the City's center, but now he's paid by the City to do what he wishes.
