We've had a busy summer in Sequim WA.  We searched and eventually found a lovely house to buy, but it took a while.  We shopped for needed furniture, pots, dishes, sheets, everything.  We designed furniture, a new railing, an octagonal dining room table and more.  Then, since the house was so empty, a few of it's flaws became obvious, so we've done a bit of remodeling and painting.  And of course there have been new friends to make and good golf to play.  Indeed we played well and won this year's low gross in the two-day Couple's Championship.  Busy, busy, busy!

Now we're back in Christchurch for our (hopefully less stressful) New Zealand summer.  And FINALLY, I've posted some recent photos!  Three different galleries, both traditional and some Inner Eye images,  Hope you enjoy them.

Information for new visitors -- Dick and Witta retired in mid-1999 and have been traveling (and golfing) the world.  It's now more than eight incredible years of RTW (around the world) travel!  Obviously, the traveling life suits us.  In March 2001 we bought a "summer home" in Christchurch, New Zealand, and we've been spending November to April there ever since, with northern hemisphere summers spent  in Edinburgh, Munich, Brussels, Vancouver, BC, Sequim WA, and Madison, WI.  Or we've driven across Canada and through the US Southwest.  We usually stop at several tourist destinations between one summer and another; these have included Israel, Italy, Japan, Portugal, Greece, Thailand and Turkey, to name a few (see the region buttons above, or the country list).

In August 2007 we bought a summer home in Sequim, WA on the Olympic Peninsula.  Now we'll be traveling much less and becoming part of two communities.

This web site includes travelogues and musings about our unfolding journey, enhanced by some great (if I do say so myself) photos.*  We hope you enjoy sharing our trip, as you "virtual travel" with us around the world!  The most recent travelogues are listed above. 

This website also includes an ever-increasing number of  photo galleries.  Over the last couple of years my (Witta's) interest in photography has grown considerably; indeed, nowadays I often see the world through my camera's eye.  So you'll find several photo-only links.  Let me know what you think of the photos.  They are for sale!
