Fiji April 2002
We spent nine days on Fiji. At two very nice resorts. But Fiji is pretty darn hot, so make sure to get an air-conditioned room, as you'll want to spend some time in it. It was hot enough that, although we were just a short walk away from the eco-park, we didn't get there. It seemed too much effort.
Also be prepared to stay at your resort. There wasn't much to see in Fiji's towns, and there seemed to be few dinner alternatives, at least we didn't figure out how to find them.
If you're going to Fiji, consider taking a cruise. We'll be doing that the next time we go. That way you can see much more, and check out some of the great snorkeling, without having to hassle to get to the reefs.
